Experience the thrill of kayaking through pristine jungle followed by a relaxing day at an eco-adventure park. Board an air conditioned motor coach for a 30-minute ride through Belize City.
This dual excursion combines the thrill of kayaking through pristine jungle with a relaxing day at an Exotic Destination
On this excursion you will:
Take a 40-minute motor coach ride through Belize City to Bacab Eco Adventure Park and listen as our guide shares with you a bit of our very colorful Belizean history.
Secure your belongings then meet on the lower deck of the restaurant for a safety briefing and paddling instructions.
Don your life-jackets then climb into your 2-person kayak and disappear into the lush tropical jungle.
Your one hour Kayak creek expedition begins with you paddling through a narrow creek shaded by the Swamp Kaway trees and lined with Arrow head plants and Water Lilies leading into a small lagoon.
Keep an eye out for turtles and juvenile crocodiles that could be sunning themselves on the surface while enjoying the invigorating thrill of skimming over the water through the jungle.
After approximately one hour of kayaking, you'll return to the pool area to enjoy a delicious Belizean cuisine at the “Pokonobwai Restaurant and Bar”.
After lunch, relax at poolside in a hammock under the shade or enjoy the waterfall and slide at our free form pool. Your kids will enjoy our mushroom water feature in the kiddie's section.
Throughout your stay, you can enjoy various presentations and activities that showcase our Belizean history and culture.
Learn about the many medicinal uses of our native plants on Ixchel's Nature Walk, before returning to the port.
NOTES
Kayaks are two (2) person per kayaks. Guests over 250 lbs. will get a kayak for him/herself. Recommended Minimum age is eight (8) years. FREE WiFi. FREE Lunch. Small gift shop on site. Locker rentals are available.
Pregnant women and guests with back/neck/hip injuries are not permitted on this excursion.
Some walkways of uneven natural materials will be found throughout the Park.
Kayaks and life-jackets are included. Closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, insect repellant, swimwear and a towel are recommended.
Guests wishing to accompany another guest to the Park can purchase a Ride-Along-Ticket sold as “Bacab Eco Park Family Escape” at the Shore Excursions Desk onboard the ship.
