Join us on a cultural tour that will both educate and delight you as you witness how history has shaped the lives of the modern Mayan people. Travel first to Xcambo, an important city in the Mayan trade route. Today Xcambo is a fascinating example of archaeology's gifts as it contains untouched sites, fully restored pyramids and buildings still under reconstruction. The tour continues to the town of Dzemul where traditional Mayan palapas sit next to Spanish influenced buildings. Follow your guide on a short walking tour to the cathedral. Then visit a lagoon where you can spot seasonal birds dive and play. Travel by bus approx. 15 minutes to an exclusive beach resort where you'll have free time to relax in the sun and enjoy a lunch buffet and refreshment. When time is up, relax and enjoy the view of the Yucatecan coast on your way back to the ship.
