Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas — the largest cruise ship ever to sail from Texas — sailed into the Port of Galveston on November 13th. But, it’s not here for long! Liberty of the Seas is headed to dry dock in January for a month long fluff and puff.
When it returns in February, the newly reimagined Liberty of the Seas will be sporting bigger excitement for every adventurer.
- Bigger thrill rides, beginning with three new waterslides, including the first Tidal Wave? at sea.
- Bigger splashes, with fun by the gallon in our bigger-than-ever aqua park, Splashaway Bay, complete with drench bucket and two slides of its own.
- Bigger views of breathtaking Caribbean shores in brand new Panoramic Ocean View staterooms.
- Bigger flavor, including Sabor Modern Mexican’s Latin-inspired flavors, Giovanni’s Table, serving Italian fare family style, and timeless cocktails at R Bar.
Introducing the revamped Liberty of the Seas – this is going to be huge!
Kids will have an adult-free zone with the introduction of Splashaway Bay, an aqua park featuring an interactive kid’s play area with water cannons, geysers and lots of other fun.
The Texas-like makeover will bring even more adventure onboard with the addition of the a collection of waterslides called the Perfect Storm including the first-ever boomerang slide, Tidal Wave. The new hair-raising slide features a steep drop that propels riders up a near vertical wall for a moment of weightlessness and into free fall.
Liberty of the Seas will sail seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries every Sunday from Galveston, visiting some of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations:
